Slash to play at Birmingham’s NIA
World-renowned rockstar, Slash, will be gracing the NIA Birmingham’s stage this October as part of his new UK tour.
The tour follows the worldwide success of Slash’s second solo album, Apocalyptic Love, that stormed the charts in May 2012. The album hit No 4 in the USA and No 2 in Canada, Slash replicated this success in both Europe and Australasia with a further 13 Top 10 chart entries, a real testament to a unique artist who has produced an incredible album.
Following a sold out date at Hammersmith Apollo and a show stealing headline of the second stage at Download Festival in June, Slash makes a comeback to the UK in October 2012 for a series of headline shows including Edinburgh Corn Exchange (Sunday 7th October), Manchester O2 Apollo (Monday 8th October), Birmingham NIA (Tuesday 9th October), Briston O2 Academy (Thursday 11th October) and Newcastle O2 Academy (Monday 15th October)..
Apocalyptic Love features Slash and his bandmates Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, with Myles Kennedy providing vocals, Brent Fitz drums and Todd Kerns on bass. In the UK, the album was also released in an exclusive Classic Rock Fan Pack form – providing a unique collectable package containing the studio album with bonus tracks alongside a specially created magazine with unseen behind-the-scenes content put together by Classic Rock magazine.
The new album follows his 2010 debut album Slash (also released in Fan Pack format and which has now sold over 100,000 copies in the UK alone) and his November2011 first-ever live solo album, the two-CD/DVD set Made In Stoke 24/7/11.
