Bounce into Easter with family fun at Symphony Hall and Birmingham REP
Families can fill their day with free Easter escapades at Symphony Hall, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Birmingham Library this Thursday with a special Easter Fun Day.
With events running from 10am – 4pm visitors can bounce their way through pop up performances, crafts and interactive storytelling, family friendly backstage tours and more.
Attendees can also unlock great offers and discounts on family events, for the Easter weekend only, and maybe find a few chocolate eggs on the way!
At Symphony Hall visitors can become an Easter Bunny, the Tiger from The Tiger Who Came To Tea or go underwater with Tiddler and his friends with face painting from Sara’s Parlour.
There will be interactive storytelling with Michael Loader of Wild Words who will be creating a participative performance of Julia Donaldson’s wistful tale of A Squash and a Squeeze, with live music on trumpet and the virtuoso clarinet playing of Katie Stevens.
As well as this families can also enjoy special backstage tours of Symphony Hall and make their own Easter bunny ears in a Craft Corner workshop.
Over at The REP and Birmingham Library visitors can enjoy activities such as story-telling with the Easter Bunny story-teller and a colouring corner with drawings being entered into a competition to win tickets for this year’s Christmas Show The Wizard of Oz. There will also be a ‘Guess the Number of Eggs in the Jar’ competition and Easter Egg giveaways throughout the day.
Visitors to the Easter Fun Day can also enjoy exclusive on the day discounts and offers on family events from both venues, with The REP also offering 25% off family membership and First Stages shows and a special under 14s £5 deal from the children’s menu in Marmalade.
The Easter Fun Day takes place on Thursday 29th March from 10am – 4pm at Symphony Hall, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Birmingham Library. Entry is free and there is no need to book, more information about the event can be found here.
