The Simmer Down Festival returns to the beautiful setting of Handsworth Park on Sunday, for a day of live music, art activities and the food experiences of multi-cultural Handsworth; but who’s performing on stage?

In the true tradition of Birmingham’s club kids, cabaret artists and queer culture icons, Brum now has a new “Drag Punk” syndicate. Dragpunk is a drag collective of creative queer-minded people based in Brum, who perform, host and run events and workshops, as well as the I’m Not Okay alternative queer ego and rock club night.
