Four men appear in court following arrests for Birmingham drugs line charges
Four men have appeared before court charged with offences relating to a drugs line that’s been operating in Birmingham since 2020. Following a long and complex investigation, West Midlands Police officers executed warrants earlier this week across Birmingham and Solihull which resulted in a large quantity of cocaine and cash being recovered and three arrests.

Two more men have been jailed after gun and knife violence flared on a Birmingham church car park. One man was stabbed with a machete and another was shot in the chest as two groups clashed on the car park of Christ Church on Burney Lane, Ward End.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal house fire in Wolverhampton, police have confirmed. Dale Francis, aged 36, from Basford, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with murder, four charges of attempted murder and a charge of arson with intent to endanger life.

West Midlands Police have charged a 44-year-old man with five counts of attempted murder following disorder in Walsall. Shazhad Mahmood was charged today (Friday 6 September) and was remanded into custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday 7 September).

A gunman has been jailed for 24 years for shooting a teenager as violence flared on a church car park in Birmingham. Awais Ahmed was himself stabbed with a machete as he opened fire on Antroye Coley, hitting him once in the chest.
