New Legacy Centre for Black excellence launches in Birmingham on site of The Drum

A new social enterprise aiming to inspire and celebrate black achievement has opened its doors in Newtown, at the home of the former Drum arts centre in Birmingham. The Legacy Centre of Excellence centre opened its doors this week with plans to host several events, co-working spaces, courses and creative ventures for the benefit of the local community.

Aston Villa’s Andre Green joins young apprentices to decorate community hub Saathi House

Aston Villa’s Andre Green grabbed a paint brush and lent a hand at Saathi House this week when he visited one of the Aston Villa Foundation’s community projects. A group of students on the Foundation’s Pre-Apprenticeship Programme volunteered their time to redecorate the building, that helps underprivileged women and children from ethnic minorities.
