A evening of events and readings to commemorate the 24th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide have taken place in Birmingham, ahead of Srebrenica Memorial Day. Organised by national charity Remembering Srebrenica, the gathering took place at Birmingham cathedral in Colmore Row and was attended by faith leaders, local children and members of the city’s Bosnian community.

Brummies congregated outside Birmingham Cathedral this evening to take part in a mass dance-along, in a bid to spread festive cheer and raise money for charity. Joining in from all over the city, people of all ages and backgrounds came together to share their love of the popular ‘Macarena’ dance routine and hit 90s chart hit.
